The first initiatives proposed for and by the Rural Shakers is a series of online inspirational talks, workshops and an online congress co-created with a worldwide working group of rural coliving and coworking spaces and rural activation initiatives.

The first Rural Shaker Impact Stories, an Online Series of Talks of Inspirational Success Stories, took place online DECEMBER 2 and 3, 2020. And this was just the beginning, since we will further organize Rural Shaker Impact Stories online as long as we keep receiving relevant stories :)

Your story will be considered for our upcoming Rural Shaker Impact Stories #2 (on a date in Autumn 2021 TBA)

Become a speaker by submitting your story explaining an specific project and/or initiative that helped you achieve measurable impact KPIs of local positive impact, wether because it have actively involved the local community or because it has clearly benefited them.

You can be a speaker of a Rural Shaker Impact Stories online talk anytime, next one on Autumn 2021 (dates TBA) and we will carry out periodic series of this talks as far as we receive great impact stories. Starting by submitting your successful impact story, explaining a specific project and / or initiative that It helped you achieve measurable KPIs with positive local impact, either because the local community has been actively involved or because it has clearly benefited them.

Of course, we need all kinds of detail about the real impact achieved by your project, in addition to prioritizing the visibility of the stories that also provide real testimonies and written, visual and / or audiovisual impact tests. Here we give you an example of what we mainly take into account when evaluating stories for talks:

• Description of the high impact initiative in your Rural Shaker project: XXXX is a XXX-month program that takes place in XXXX weekend meetings in a XXXX region, where X number of startups, social movements, cyber activists, corporate and government teams coexist, and collaborate to promote their projects

Specific activities in numbers, details:

• XXX no. Hours of workshops and mentoring on topic 1, topic 2, topic 3 civics, etc.

• Action-focused cross pollination (private and public, digital and non-digital)

• +60 international facilitators and mentors

• Multiculturalism with +10 nationalities of participants

• 3 Rural places outdoors in nature

• Decentralized technologies (Holochain, Ethereum, IOTA, Retroshare ...)

Specific impact results in numbers:

• 39 participants

• +20 teams of startups, NGOs and governments

• 5 companies incorporated

• 5 new projects emerged as a result of cross pollination between participants

• 2 participants hired by participating projects

• 3 participants move to the region

• € 15,000 in commercial contracts between participants

• Winning participants + € 700K 6 months later
